CARLTON CITY BATHS

Melbourne City Council engaged InSight Systems to complete an audio visual fit-out in the newly refurbished Carlton City Baths. The fit-out required audio visual systems in the main gym, group fitness and spin rooms and a number of multi purpose rooms throughout the building. A total of six individual panels have been utilised as digital signage throughout the building. These panels display class timetables and other pertinent information to clients and guests.

InSight Systems were asked to design and install the audio visual requirements for Carlton City Baths. The brief required a robust system that was easy and flexible to use. With a diverse range of users utilising the various rooms consistency and simplicity were key to the design that InSight Systems developed.

The group training and spin rooms featured an Extron control system to simplify and optimise the user experience. Allowing for a range of different inputs including MP3, and microphone the room features an Argo Limiting Compression Systems to ensure that council noise restrictions are strictly adhered to. An Australian Monitor mixer is responsible for the quality of the audio, advanced programing allows the use of various media inputs whilst retaining consistency and quality.

The multi purpose rooms also utilise an Extron control system to switch between different inputs. Automating the entire process and turning off equipment that is not required has allowed Carlton City Baths to minimise wear on equipment and reduce power consumption. Featuring Epson projectors, with HDMI, VGA and DVD/Bluray inputs combined with Quest speakers and a PTN Electronic Media Switcher these rooms can be used for personal training sessions or for a corporate meeting with the press of a button.

In order to share timetable and event information with gym users and guests Carlton City Baths have six digital signage panels throughout the building. These individual Samsung panels utilise the Samsung Magic info digital signage software to centrally control and update all of the display panels.
