CHISHOLM INSTITUTE OF TAFE, DANDENONG (PART TWO)

In addition to the previous installation of a lecture theatre for Chisholm Institute of Tafe, InSight Systems were engaged to fit-out the remaining classrooms and learning spaces on the Dandenong campus. The design brief required the rooms to have cutting edge technology installed in an aesthetically pleasing manner. To ensure that all of the technology is fully utilised InSight Systems have worked to ensure that operation is simple and intuitive throughout the building.

In order to give the students the best learning experience, cutting edge interactive products were installed in all of the learning spaces. Using similar technology to that found on other Chisholm Institute of Tafe campuses allows teaching staff familiar with other spaces to quickly and easily operate the audio visual equipment.

Using a combination of interactive projectors and touch panels allows teachers to continue presentations and lessons whilst moving throughout the classroom. This technology also allows lesson content to be saved, stored and disseminated to students with the touch of a button.

As the building is a modern, open design the ability to discreetly run cables and mount projectors proved to be a challenge. This, however, was a challenge that our install team were up to! Through careful planning and innovative thinking the final result was a series of aesthetically pleasing spaces discreetly filled with technology.

The total project consisted of one large lecture theatre, two meeting rooms with LCD panels, 13 interactive classrooms and three smaller meeting spaces with LCD touch panels. Featuring a range of quality products from Epson, AMX and Samsung the appearance and functionality of the installation exceeded expectations.
