WALLAN GATEWAY CHURCH

Wallan Gateway Church engaged InSight Systems to install an audio visual system in the auditorium of their newly constructed building. This system to be designed by InSight Systems was required to include video media playback, theatrical lighting and audio.

The auditorium at Wallan Gateway Church is a circular room in a converted factory; unfortunately due to the nature of the circular room it had very poor acoustics. To counter the poor acoustics InSight Systems recommended the installation of several acoustics panels to the walls in order to absorb the sound and reduce the sound reflecting. In addition to the acoustic panels InSight Systems carefully selected Quest asymmetrical speakers as they were able to offer an even spread of audio throughout the auditorium.

The front-of-house systems included four Quest speakers and two projectors. Four recessed floor boxes on the stage provide microphone, VGA and HDMI inputs. All audio is distributed to the supplied Allen&Heath ZED-436 mixer, whilst the video is distributed and controlled by a 7” touch panel. This system gives users a high level of control over all aspects of audio and video display within the auditorium.

The lighting system that InSight Systems installed consisted of two 18 metre powered lighting bars. Connected to the lighting bars are 16 LED Par Cans from DesignLED. The Par Cans are controlled by a Jands Stage CL-LED lighting desk.

The installation at Wallan Gateway Church was completed within the scheduled timeframe and the first service has now been held. The community and parishioners alike were thrilled with the audio and visual integration within the auditorium.
