InSight Systems office fit-out

When InSight Systems moved into a new office space it was a great opportunity to show our clients the possibility of integrating; video and audio distribution, AV control, lighting control, access control and security. Crestron, Ness and C-Bus products were all selected as they have a long history of reliability and manufacturer support and are all know to be the top brands in their fields.

The new office space involves a large open plan office space, a boardroom, small meeting room, several small offices and a warehouse. The design of the project was challenging due to the large range of different products, functions and the scale of the project. Fortunately our design team was able to bring all of their vast experience to the table and develop an integrated design that more than fulfilled the scope of the project.

The design:

When guests visit the InSight Systems offices they are first greeted by our warm, friendly foyer which is complete with an Polycom IP Phone, so that they can contact whomever they wish to meet with. All workstation in the office are equipped with a Polycom IP handset, whilst in the boardroom a Polycom HDX Video Conference System has been installed.

The InSight Systems office is a dynamic, fun space to work. With music being distributed to ceiling speakers throughout the building via the Sonos Multi Room Music System an almost limitless playlist is available. With music tastes varying from Foo Fighters to William Hung, from American Idol fame, everyone’s taste (or lack of taste) is catered for and shared seamlessly throughout the entire building.

When staff need a little down time they can sit and enjoy distributed video content (Foxtel, PC, CCTV) on one of the five plasma displays or two projectors installed throughout the office. This can be enjoyed from the comfort of the lounge area or the convenience of your desk.

To ensure that we minimise our greenhouse emissions and power consumption, we have installed C-Bus Multi Sensors for light activation and lux level monitoring throughout the building. As a result only the required lights are activated and as an added bonus, at the end of the day there is no need to walk around turning lights off!

Our security system comprises of Ness security and smoke detectors with IR CCTV cameras in all areas of the building. All Ness IR Cameras are connected to a 24/7 Ness DVR, which records when activated by motion. In order to simplify lock up/unlocking procedures Ness card readers and door swipes have been fitted to all doors. This system allows staff to open and close the building without having to remember security codes, it also allows management to track individual access to particular areas of the building.

The entire system installed at InSight Systems can be controlled remotely through a secure portal or from the convenience of an iPhone or iPad when away from the office.
