Vidyo offers a unique solution to VOIP by providing a system that operates across large number of different endpoint devices, including mobile, and suffers no quality of service (QoS) issues. Using Scalable Video Coding (SVC) Vidyo is able to provide service to endpoints whether they are using a business grade network, wireless network, cellular network or even a 56k modem! Where most video conferencing systems work to the lowest common resolution, SVC is able to deliver the highest quality audio and video that the network can provide, this means that someone dialling in from the airport doesn’t dictate the overall quality delivered to others connecting from HD room systems.

Vidyo is able to utilise the existing endpoint hardware in an organisation, allowing users to continue using iOS and Android devices. The result is a surprisingly low total cost of ownership. The only required hardware is a proprietary router and gateway. A benefit of Vidyo being a software solution is that it is scalable within an organisation, allowing a gradual transition at a minimal cost.
