RESIDENTIAL SOUNDBARS

Adam Turner recently wrote an article for The Age (click here to read his full article) reviewing residential soundbars. He reviewed the Sonos Playbar and the Bose CineMate, not surprisingly the Sonos Playbar came out on top.
If you are finding that your TV isn’t providing the depth and quality of sound that you desire then a soundbar could be the solution. A soundbar is a narrow set of 5-9 speakers that is positioned under or above the TV. Whilst a soundbar will still fall short of an integrated 7.1 surround sound system, they do provide an exceptional sound without the requirement to install 5-7 speakers!
The Sonos Playbar will integrate with your existing Sonos wireless multi-room audio system. This allows you to stream your movie collection around your house, or if you have to duck out to the kitchen mid movie you can continue to listen to the movie without interrupting the other viewers.
The Sonos Playbar is incredibly easy to set up, all you need is an optical digital output from the TV and you are off and racing. To connect the Playbar with your existing Sonos network you simply need to set up a new music zone on your Sonos Connect.
